If you look on google earth you can see Hershel’s Farm is an actual working farm! Directly to the south of the farm is where they built Hilltop. To actually see what it looked like you need to use the history imagery sadly, the barn never shows up in any of the satellite views. I also found the prison by mistake it’s south west of the farm and hilltop it’s called Raleigh studios going back to 2012 you can see the double gates of the prison, the guard towers and even the knocked over bus. Using the google earth historical imagery fans can see what some of our favorite scenes from the TV show looked like from the air when they actually filmed the scenes. I use historical imagery only because today in 2025 things have changed so much in Georgia from the 2010’s when filming took place. If you check just from 2025 like the quarry totally different from 2010-2011. same goes for hilltop as today it’s an empty field. even Alexandria the walls are gone. I’m so glad google lets us use that and now that i found this site i’m so happy you added this!!! As a fan now i can look up things as i watch my favorite show the walking dead thank you!!!!!
